Day 2 – Focallure Sunrise Impressionism Palette

For day 2 of the neutral palettes I chose the Focallure Sunrise palette. This palette is similar to the Huda New Nudes palette, with pinks, warm purple-browns, and orange toned mattes plus glitter shades. This includes shimmers with microglitter as well as some chunkier glitters that stick perfectly without any glitter adhesive! I don’t know how they come up with this formula but it is amazing.

When I first saw this palette on Instagram I knew I had to have it and it does not disappoint!

My Thoughts on the Palette

Some of the shades look brown but they are more purple/mauve than brown. This look took a different turn when I tried “chocolate martini” under my eyes and realized it is NOT brown. However because this is more of a pink & purple palette I don’t mind that the colors look different on the eye than they do in the pan – just be aware! It does make it more cohesive. I noticed the official photo on Focallure’s website is actually much closer to what the shades actually look like.

These mattes are amazing at this price point! My mind is still a little blown every time I use it.

About Focallure & Where to Buy

Focallure is a Chinese company that is creating some of the best affordable palettes I have found! It’s right up there with Colourpop in terms of quality. One thing to know is that “Focallure” is a common name for low quality Chinese makeup so you have to make sure to order only from! I usually double check to make sure that they have the city palettes, “Turkey” “Paris”, etc because the knock-off companies do not have those palettes. You can also look for their slogan “color the life” but as long as you are on you are ordering from the real company.

The palette suggested retail price is $16.99 but it is frequently on sale. Right now it is $11.89.
